Common questions

Before you submit

What wood options do you offer?

Bamboo, walnut, maple, acacia, and slate — plus acacia-and-marble combinations and thick end-grain butcher block. Bamboo is the budget-friendly workhorse and our largest range. Walnut is the premium pick. Butcher block is the statement piece. Tell us the occasion and budget and we'll recommend.

Can I get every wood in every size?

Not quite — each wood comes in its own set of sizes and shapes. Bamboo has the most options (rectangles, rounds, paddles, pizza boards, handled boards). Walnut and maple run from small 9x6 bar boards up to full butcher blocks. Tell us the size you have in mind and we'll tell you which woods it comes in.

Where does the engraving go — front or back?

For cutting-grade boards (used with a knife), we engrave the back so the front stays usable as a cutting surface. For display boards or charcuterie boards, we engrave the front. We'll confirm the placement on your proof.

How should the recipient care for an engraved cutting board?

Hand wash with mild soap, dry thoroughly, oil with food-safe mineral oil every few months. Never put it in the dishwasher — the heat will damage the wood and the seal. The engraving itself is permanent.

Can you engrave a full logo, not just text?

Yes — logos engrave beautifully on hardwoods. Send us a vector file (.ai, .eps, .svg, .pdf) for best results. PNG works for most designs. We'll let you know if anything needs to be tweaked for engraving.

Can you engrave names, dates or addresses instead of a logo?

Yes — that's most of what we do on boards. Family names, house addresses, closing dates, GPS coordinates, monograms, wedding dates. Every board is engraved to order, so you're not picking from a set of designs.

How long does an order take?

Most cutting board orders ship 5–10 business days from approved proof. Rush orders sometimes possible — flag your deadline in your quote request.
